Warangal: The book 'Selfie of Success' that personifies success, exemplifying true stories of rags to riches, is a must-read, Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar said. Speaking at a meeting presided over by the Kakatiya University Technical Staff Association (KUTSA) President Dr Pulla Srinivas here on the campus on Thursday, he said that 'Selfie of Success' authored by IAS officer Burra Venkatesham is of immense help to the students who want to reach pinnacle in their career.
"The book which gives real-life examples of several noted personalities like JK Rowling, Oprah Winfrey etc. The highly successful people never gave up and continued believing in themselves until they achieved success," Vinay Bhaskar said, stating that the book is like a handbook that everyone should possess.
Speaking on the occasion, the author of the book Burra Venkatesham said that he tried to mirror the aspirations of people who tried tooth and nail to achieve ultimate success.
"The book focuses on how to change attitude towards life, thereby to pursue the success. The book also illustrates the evil effects of success, besides giving tips to pursue the next journey—from being successful to becoming great and staying down to earth," he said.
Popular Telugu novelist and Sahitya Akademi award winner Ampasayya Naveen said that success is not all about earning assets or being financially affluent, it's all about being setting path for others to follow.
KU Registrar Prof K Purushotham said that the book provides a comprehensive glimpse into all aspects of success. KUTSA President Dr Pulla Srinivas, noted poet Rama Chandramouli, Kaloji Foundation secretary V R Vidyarthi, Prany Mitra Mandali secretary Pandilla Ashok Kumar and Telugu University Non-Teaching Employees Association president B Gnaneshwar were among others present.
