Hyderabad: The Langerhouz police on Friday arrested six RTC employees for pelting stones on a RTC bus, which was being driven by State government hired private driver.

The arrested persons were identified as Raghunath Jharkahand (55), Ch Sudhakar (53), Mohammad Alauddin (53), Amjad Khan (45) Mahboob Mohammad Khan (51) and Abdul Hameed (54).

According to police, on Wednesday a complaint has been lodged by one K Venkataiah (54), working as private driver of a RTC bus.

In his complaint, Venkataiah stated that on Wednesday he along with his bus conductor S Yadaiah (28) left Parigi bus depot to Kodangal and came back to Parigi.

And again, from Parigi he was on his way to Mehdipatnam, however at about 12:45 pm when he reached NTR bus stop, an unknown person came on two-wheeler and pelted a stone on his bus due to which the front glass got damaged.

On receipt of the complaint police registered a case and took up investigation.

It was revealed that, in view of RTC strike, the accused persons damaged the glass of RTC bus by pelting the stone to show their anger against the government, since government is running RTC buses, even as the RTC employees are on strike State-wide.
