The police arrested a gang of six thieves, including a minor, involved in waylaying robberies and recovered Rs 41,200, two motorcycles, three mobile phones and a knife from them.

Warangal: The police arrested a gang of six thieves, including a minor, involved in waylaying robberies and recovered Rs 41,200, two motorcycles, three mobile phones and a knife from them. The arrested were identified as Syed Khaja Pasha, Md Taufeeq, Sk Tanveer, Md Imran, Md Yakub Pasha and two minor boys of Warangal. The police said that another minor boy, who was part of the gang, is at large.

The police apprehended the gang, which was moving suspiciously, during a vehicle check near Keerthi Nagar Eidga under Geesukonda mandal. According to police, the gang used to waylay and rob the people moving in isolated places.

East Zone DCP KR Nagaraju commended Inspector J Shivaramaiah, sub-inspector Abdul Raheem, head constables Papaiah, Rajaiah, and Ashok, constables Ravinder, Chandraiah, Prasad and Damodar, who arrested the gang.
