'Speed up land acquisition for Kothapalli-Manoharabad railway line'

Sircilla: State Planning Commission Vice-President Boinapally Vinod Kumar ordered the officials of concerned departments to speed up acquisition of land for laying new railway line and hand it over to the railway officials.

He discussed about new railway line and other issues with District Collector Krishna Bhaskar, OSD Manohar, MMR and railway officials and RDOs of Sircilla and Karimnagar along with others at the Collector's chamber here on Wednesday.

Vinod Kumar said the new railway line track, which is being constructed from Kothapalli to Manoharabad, is going through about 17 villages with a boundary line of about 946.17 acres land in Sircilla district. He inquired the officials about the area of the land they collected from these 17 villages till date.

As this railway track is going through Vemulawada town, where the famous Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple is situated, it would be highly useful for the devotees, who visit the temple from far off distances, he added.

The Vice-President ordered the officials to complete land acquisition as early as possible and hand it over to railway department officials so that railway line works would be completed within the prescribed time limit.

Collector Krishna Bhaskar said the officials have acquired land from Sircilla town and the works of land acquisition in Vemulawada are pending. He assured of taking all necessary steps for acquiring the remaining land and will hand it over to the railway officials very soon.

Government pleader Raja Sripathi Rao, Railway department Deputy CE Saddharma, Assistant Collector Rizwan Basha Shaik, MMD SE Srikanth, EE Rama Krishna, Sircilla RDO Srinivas Rao, Karimnagar RDO Anand Kumar and AD Surveyor Srinivas were present along with others.
