Swearing-in of MPPs, MPTCs held in Khammam
The swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) members was conducted in the district on Tuesday.
Khammam: The swearing-in ceremony of newly-elected Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) members was conducted in the district on Tuesday. At 11 am, the officials concerned conducted the programme with the newly-elected Mandal Praja Parishad Presidents (MPPPs) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs). The elections were conducted in June.
In Khammam district, of the 20 MPPs, Telangana Rashtra Samithi won 17 MPPs, followed by Telugu Desam, CPM and Independents one each. In Kothagudem district, of the 21 MPPs, TRS won 17, followed by Congress two and New Democracy one.
The local legislators of the constituencies graced the occasion in both the districts. Meanwhile, the swearing-in of newly-elected Zilla Parishad members will be held on Wednesday in both the districts, informed the officials.
