Hyderabad: T-Hub, the state's start-up ecosystem which had a launched a Covid-19 innovation challenge with Q City to empower the students on conducting research on potential solutions, idea or an app to contain the virus have seen a number of innovations by the students.

The innovation challenge saw around 80 students taking part in the competition across the country including a team from the state that caught the attention of the innovators.

The five-member team with the name Ventiquest has developed a mobile app 'Ventisearch'. Ventisearch provides a list of nearby hospitals along with the number of ICU beds and ventilators to the users based on their current location. The application, which is portrayed as a social enterprise impact startup is said to be building on the veracity of the data and adding more equipment in the healthcare space.

The Ventiquest team, termed as the youngest entrepreneurs from the city consists of Prisha, 8th 8th grader from Chirec International School, Kondapur, Hyderabad; Uma: 9th grader from Delhi Public School, Khajaguda, Hyderabad; Yukta Raghavendra: 7th grader from Phoenix Greens School, Kokapet, Hyderabad; Adwaith: 7th grader from Delhi Public School, Nacharam, Hyderabad; Led by Hita Thota: 9th grader from Harker High School, San Jose, California, USA.

Speaking about the experience, the team said that they had a great experience to present their start-up to the jury members and the panellists. They said that the app will be rolled out soon making it available for all the citizens. Besides, information on COVID-19, the app can also be used to locate blood banks, pharmacies, diagnostics and more, the team said.
