Telangana: BJP picks Raghunandan for Medak Lok Sabha segment

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced Raghunandan Rao for the Medak Lok Sabha segment ending the suspense. He will be facing Kotha Prabhakar Reddy of TRS and Gali Anil Kumar of Congress in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Rao who contested in 2014 elections from Dubbak constituency had lost to S Ramalinga Reddy of TRS.
Earlier, there were rumours that the party would allocate the ticket to TRS leader G Vivekanand. Meanwhile, G Vivekanand resigned from TRS today after the party denied him the ticket in the last minute. He also said that he will not contest in the Lok Sabha elections.
