Depressed after his family members chided him for, over unclear debts, a constable committed suicide on Sunday here at Kalluru village of Suryapet district.

Veerapuneni Sridhar (36), a traffic constable working under Mahabubnagar police station limits has hanged himself from the ceiling fan. He is a native of Kalluru of Nereducharla mandal of Suryapet.

The police registered a case and took up an investigation. Further details are awaited.
