Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana has declared holiday on Tuesday in view of heavy to very heavy rain forecast in the State. All the government offices, including schools, colleges and other educational institutions would be closed.
Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar instructed the GAD (General Administration Department) to issue necessary orders for the closure of all offices in the State.
The chief secretary clarified that Emergency departments like Revenue, Police, Fire Services, Municipal, Panchayati Raj, Irrigation, Roads and Buildings would be on emergency duty to ensure that no property or lives are lost due to heavy rains.
