Tiny tots celebrate Janmashtami in Warangal

Warangal: In a bid to inculcate the importance Indian traditions and glorifying them with the younger generation, several schools in the erstwhile Warangal district have celebrated on the eve of Janmashtami, as the name suggests, Lord Krishna's birthday, on Friday.

The students of Raman School celebrated Janmasthami with a skit that glorifies Lord Krishna's leela and other cultural activities illustrating the fact that whenever there will be dominance of evil, the Lord appearing in some avatar destroying it to save the good.

School Director Purushotham, Principal Sadananda Rao, Vice-Principal Taufeeq Alam and parents of students were present.

Elsewhere in Hanamkonda students of Sree Shivani High School celebrated the festival with passion and zealous. Children donning the roles of Sri Krishna and gopikas enacted ballads. A group dance performed by the children depicting the life story of Lord Krishna enthralled the audience. Several other plays heralding 'Victory of good over evil' was performed on the occasion.
