Hyderabad: A trader from Daira market in Ram Nagar area of Secunderabad died of coronavirus here on Sunday morning while his wife and younger daughter tested positive for the deadly virus.

Getting into details, the trader (60) had visited Gandhi Hospital after he suffered from high fever and tested positive three days ago. His primary contacts such as his wife and two daughters were tested and two of them found with the virus infection. The trader's wife and younger daughter shifted to Gandhi Hospital while his elder daughter home quarantined.

The trader succumbed to the virus on Sunday morning and the Gandhi Hospital. As his family members were unable to conduct the funeral, also none of his relatives have come forward, the GHMC hospital held the last rites of the man at Erragadda crematorium. The death of the trader due to coronavirus left the local traders and residents of the Daira market in panic.

Musheerabad SI Samya Naik registered a case and sanitized the area of the patient's home. Meanwhile, the healthcare workers conducted a door-to-door survey and conducted coronavirus tests. The officials said that the trader's younger daughter who is pursuing Class 10 could not attend the SSC exams as she is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
