On Monday, he distributed Bathukamma sarees to the beneficiaries in several wards of the town and also laid foundation stones for Rs 80 lakh worth works in the town.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged the people of Suryapet to compare the development of Suryapet and the State before and after the formation of Telangana.
"The Telangana government is heading forward in all aspects and at the same time it is honoring all the castes and religions equally," he said, adding that the Bathukamma sarees could not be distributed due to election code in force at the time of Dasara festival.
