Two drowned in Shanigaram reservoir in Siddipet
Two people were drowned in Shanigaram reservoir at Koheda mandal of Siddipet district on Saturday.
Two people were drowned in Shanigaram reservoir at Koheda mandal of Siddipet district on Saturday. They were identified as Ponnala Anil (17), a native of Lakshmipuram village of Bejjanki Mandal and Nanganur Kumar (29), a native of Rangampet village of Manakondur Mandal of Karimnagar district.
It is learned that the two youngsters had gone to the reservoir for swimming and later drowned. Villagers and their family members launched a search for the victims in the reservoir. They fished out a body and efforts are on to fish out another body. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
On November 12, 2019, three youngsters drowned in Moya Tummeda Vagu at Varikolu village of Koheda mandal in Siddipet. The trio, identified as Kante Nikhil (19), Kuna Prashanth (20) and Pendota Varaprasad (18), residents of Varikolu village went for a bath to stream. Since no one knew swimming, they drowned in the water.
