Two people hailing from Hyderabad seriously injured in the bomb blasts that claimed hundreds of lives in Srilanka on Sunday. Bhakta Balla, a US return and a native of Anantapur had been in Hyderabad for a few days before heading to Srilanka with three others.

According to Balla, the blasts took place in their hotel while they were having breakfast. However, they reported themselves safe after the blasts. Balla is reported to have suffered an injury in the thigh while his friend Surendra injured on his nose.

"The blast occurred at the entrance of the hotel while the restaurant was on the third floor. However, there was no much impact on them as we are sitting beside a pillar," Balla said.

They were a part of a group of five holidaying in Sri Lanka.
