Utilise technology in solving criminal cases: SP C Shashidhar Raju

Nirmal: Stating that many innocent people are losing their lives due to the careless driving of motorists, Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju urged the drivers of passenger vehicles to drive carefully and to follow road safety rules to prevent accidents.

He addressed a police review meeting at district police office in Nirmal on Thursday. After reviewing the status of cases, he said police should utilise technology in criminal investigation to investigate the cases quickly. He told the cops not to keep cases pending, to enhance property recovery promptly, information should be increased, prevent transportation of illegal transportation of ganja and to take immediate actions on petitions.

The SP said every police officer should be aware of CCTNN, clear all online pending cases, and use technical knowledge in crime investigation as much as they can utilise to solve a case in a short time. Every police station should be maintained cleanly. A meeting with constables and other staff should be conducted on every Saturday and clear their doubts, give them directions to clear pending cases.

In theft recovery cases, property should be recovered on a past pace. The SP told them to focus on SHE teams as the academic year already began. 'Encourage people to set up CCTV cameras in their areas. Conduct drunken drive check up regularly and create awareness on helmet wearing.'

The SP distributed awards and cash prizes to talented CIs, SIs, ASIs and PCs.

District Additional SP Dakshinamurthi, DSPs Upender Reddy and Rajesh Balla, Special Branch Inspector Srinivas, Praveen Kumar, Ramesh Babu, Srinivas, SI and others were present.
