Mahbubnagar: Taking a dig at the State and the Central Congress party leadership, Chittaranjan Das, former Minister from Congress party who had joined the TRS party recently said that it was because of TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy and AICC Official Spokesperson Jaipal Reddy, the Congress has ruined its winning prospects in Telangana.

He alleged that both these leaders have encouraged group politics and had divided the party into pieces because of which even those MLAs who had won from Congress party had left the party and joined TRS.

"Both Uttam in the State and Jaipal Reddy in New Delhi have played spoilsport and have ruined the party in Telangana. These leaders have encouraged group politics and engaged in intensive lobbying and have cared least to work in a coordinated manner to strengthen the party at the grassroots. It is because of their groupism, today the party has fallen flat in Telangana," alleged Chittaranjan Das.

Chittaranjan Das had earlier won as MLA from Kalwakurthy against NT Rama Rao and had even served as a Minister during the Congress regime. Das said that if Uttam continues as Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president, even AICC president Rahul Gandhi will not win even as the ward member elections in Telangana.

He called Jaipal Reddy a mentally retarded person and had done nothing for the development of Mahbubnagar during his tenure except encouraged groupism and supported only his community.
