Warangal: Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna on Saturday said that Haritha Haram will be successful only when students work as soldiers and teachers enlighten them on the need of improving green environment.
The VC whose term is to be end on July 25, told the staff to protect the saplings with utmost care thereby helping the environment. He planted a sapling as part of Haritha Haram programme on varsity campus.
SDLCE Director Prof Guguloth Veeranna and KU Development Officer V Ramachandram, Journalism Department Coordinator Dr Sangani Malleshwar, SDLCE employees' president S Yadagiri and SDLCE SC/ST Vice-President Dr Sangala Ephraim Raj and others were present on the occasion.
