Hyderabad: Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said the State government is taking steps to complete the process of appointment of Vice-Chancellors to the State Universities at the earliest.
Addressing media after holding a meeting with the registrars of various State Universities here on Tuesday, she said that the process of the appointment of VCs would be completed soon.
Similarly, once the appointment process of VCs is complete, steps will also be taken to fill the faculty vacancies in the universities, she added.
The Minister during her interaction with the registrars took stock of various pending issues and the functioning of the universities.
Sabitha Indra Reddy assured the participating university officials that the State government will address all the issues and resolve them to improve the standards of education and development of the universities in Telangana.
That apart, she said steps will also be taken to launch an online system to handle the end-to-end process from admissions to results of every university in the State.
The Minister also said that she will conduct a review meeting with the university VCs every three months.
