Former TRS leader alleges that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is promoting those who tried to sabotage separate Telangana agitation and who worked against the party

Hyderabad: After being denied ticket by the party, former Peddapally MP and TRS leader G Vivekanand on Mondaysaid that he would not contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

In a letter issued to the media here, Vivekanand said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao hatched a plot to ensure that he did not enter Lok Sabha and carefully orchestrated it by denying the ticket at the last minute and not giving enough timefor him to enter electoral arena.

Vivek said KCR and his supporters were spreading false information against him that he worked against the party. "Nobody mentioned about my working against the party until the results in the Assembly elections. Moreover, KCR gave the ticket to a candidate who contested against the party candidate, which clearly showed who was doing 'droham' to whom," said Vivek.

Vivek recalled that he had joined the TRS even after knowing it was weak and added that he had strengthened it. He said KCR invited him back into TRS after 2014 elections because of his contribution.

"KCR's puppets claim that the advisor to government post was a gift to me for joining the TRS. Protocol was never followed nor was I involved in any inter-State issues. I was continuously kept away from the constituency by these puppets.

When I decided to resign, KCR requested me not to do so but in this process, I was disqualified from Hyderabad Cricket Association president post," he said.

Vivek said, KCR went back on his promise of giving ticket to fighters (Udyamakarulu). Those, who did not even utter 'Jai Telangana' were given preference, he said.

He alleged that dictatorial rule was imposed on the people."The idea of democratic Telangana for which we all fought is being destroyed with the udyamakarulu being thrown out and a sense of dictatorial rule is being imposed on the people of Telangana. People will understand this dictatorship in the coming days," said Vivek.
