Wanaparthy: State-level boxing tournament begins
The Wanaparthy district has become the host for the State-level Boxing tournament for the first time. As part of this, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy inaugurated the tournament on Thursday at the Polytechnic College grounds in the district and welcomed the participants from different districts.

Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said, "The State government is giving priority to all sectors and sports sector is one. Particularly, we are focusing on promoting sports in the rural areas where there is huge untapped talent." As part of the tournament, boxing teams from different districts across the State were invited to take part in the programme. The Minister welcomed the participants and wished them good luck.
Later, the organisers of the boxing tournament felicitated the Minister and presented him a memento.
