A research scholar from the National Institute of Technology who admitted to MGM hospital with suspected coronavirus symptoms has tested negative, said the doctors.

The student who had a travel history from US has admitted to the hospital with cough and fever. He was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad where the doctors collected the samples of the student and put him in the isolation ward.

After the report showed negative for the virus, the Gandhi Hospital doctors discharged the student from the hospital. The research scholar with the suspected symptoms of coronavirus has returned from US on March 1, 2020. The patient was there in US to attend a conference and returned to his native place in Kurnool.

He then went to Hanamkonda and was staying outside the campus.
