Warangal: Sub Treasury Officer, senior assistant in ACB net
A Sub-Treasury Officer and senior assistant were caught red-handed while taking bribe here at Wardhannapet on Saturday.
A Sub-Treasury Officer and senior assistant were caught red-handed while taking bribe here at Wardhannapet on Saturday.
The officials have demanded Rs 15,000 bribe to sanction pension from a retired EOPRD official Shiva Kumar. Later, Shiva Kumar approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau who laid a trap and caught the two officials while accepting the bribe.
The ACB officials registered a case and are probing into it.
On Friday, the ACB officials arrested a town planning section officer of GHMC and two journalists for demanding and taking Rs 2 lakh bribe from a property developer. The town planning officer S Srinivas with two other reporters demanded the bribe not to demolish a temporary structure constructed by him on his terrace at Jubilee Hills.
Based on the complaint, the ACB officials caught the town planning officer and the reporters.
