Wine shops to be closed on occasion of Holi festival
Liquor shops and Bars and Restaurants were closed in the twin cities of Hyderabad on the occasion of Holi festival.
Hyderabad: Liquor shops and Bars and Restaurants were closed in the twin cities of Hyderabad on the occasion of Holi festival. They are remained closed from 6 PM on Sunday to 6 AM on Tuesday.
Along with wine shops, bars and restaurants have also been ordered to be closed by the police. However, the police have exempted star hotels and registered clubs from the order. To this extent, Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police Commissioners have issued orders. The police said the decision of closing wine shops and bars and restaurants has been taken as part of precautionary measures to prevent any untoward incident during Holi festival celebrations.
Police advised people to celebrate Holi happily and without causing trouble to others. Moreover, they warned that strict action will be taken if those who come and go on the roads causing trouble. Similarly, the police advised the people not to come on the roads with vehicles and travel in groups.
