Woman, son drown in Nagarjuna Sagar canal

A woman and her son drowned in Nagarjuna Sagar canal here in Khammam district on Saturday.
Sheik Hussain Bi with her son Sai Baba went to the canal to wash clothes. While the woman was washing the clothes, Sai ventured into the canal and drowned. Hussain also drowned in the canal while trying to rescue his son.
The police retrieved the body of the woman and are fishing out the body of Sai Baba.
The woman has a son and a daughter who are pursuing studies at different Gurukul schools. They have returned home for summer vacation.
