According to sources, Mukkidi Kamaiah of Kistapur village had two sons. Land disputes have been going on in the family for some time. The case came before the
villager elders, who tried to make a compromise between the father and sons over the land, on Monday.
On Tuesday morning Kamaiah was found hanged to death. The villagers alleged that Kamaiah's sons Veeresham and Sailu and wife Lalavva allegedly hatched a plan and killed him when he was sleeping on Monday night.
Police registered a case and investigation is on.
