Nagamani alias Padma (41), a native of Toopran in Medak district was working as a teacher in a private school while her husband Kistaiah is a government teacher.

Padma who was suffering from Typhoid was worried about the rising coronavirus cases in the state. Scared of being infected with the virus, the woman hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her home and committed suicide when no one was at home.

Her husband and children who returned home found her hanging from the ceiling. The police were informed who registered a case and sent the body for a hospital to autopsy. The woman has a daughter and a son. The case is being investigated.
