The woman who found burnt at Siddulagutta in Shamshabad has likely committed suicide, said Shamshabad DCP Prakash Reddy in the preliminary investigation. Her body was sent to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.

She was identified as Kavitha Bhai (35), wife of Santosh Singh, a resident of Baba Bhola Nagar in Dhulpet. The clues team recovered slippers, bangles of the woman and sent to forensic lab.

The police said that the woman was seen walking alone with a plastic bag in CCTV footage and is reported to have told the locals that she was waiting for her family members. She is believed to have been slipped into depression and committed suicide, said the DCP.

The body of the woman was found burning near Maisamma temple by four youngsters who informed the police and called ambulance.
