Huzurabad: If women work with firm determination and perfect plan, they could achieve economic sustainability, opined Health Minister Eatala Rajender.

He, as a chief guest, distributed loan cheques worth Rs 15.5 lakh to the representatives of about 19 Self-Help Groups sanctioned by various banks in Karimnagar, at a programme organised at his camp office in Huzurabad on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rajender said nobody can compete with women in terms of patience and hard work they do. They can reach greater heights in their lives. 'The present day big corporate companies' owners once started their business with small investments and now they are earning crores of rupees. If one wants to walk million steps, they must start with first one, everyone must remember this, he said.

The Minister opined women with little bit of communication skills can do wonders in business field. They must utilize the loans sanctioned by the government, which has been taking steps to provide training to educated unemployed women present in Self-Help Groups, he suggested. Women must choose such kinds of sectors by analysing trends in the present day and must achieve set targets, he appealed.

District Collector K Shashanka said all the eligible women groups and single woman will be sanctioned loans for doing agriculture and non-agriculture works. Banks have sanctioned loans to the women groups of Huzurabad, Jammikunta, Veenavanka and Yellandakunta mandals in the first phase, he informed. Additional Collector Narasimha Reddy, DRDA PD Venkateshwar Rao, MEPMA PD Ravinder, LDM Lakshman, District Industries general manager Naveen Kumar, ZPTCs Bukka Reddy, and Sriram Shyam, Municipal Chairperson Gande Radhika, MPPS Rani and Renuka were present along with others.
