Speaking in the workshop Kannababu announced that the state government has directly transferred Rs 10500 crores to the accounts of farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme in the last two years. He said that all eligible farmers are selected as beneficiaries, without bothering about their political affiliation. He also announced that they have purchased ten thousand metric tons of agriculture products last year to help the farmers.

Suresh said that the government is giving top priority to agriculture and farmers' welfare. He said that the former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy supported the farmers by constructing irrigation projects and his son chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is supporting the farmers through the Rythu Bharosa programme. Srinivasa Reddy said that the chief minister is very much concerned about the welfare of the farmers in the state.

The Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, agriculture officials, and farmers leaders also participated in the program.
