Medical and Health Department officials in the district identified total 33 persons, all natives of Srikakulam district who returned from the United Kingdom (UK) between November 25 and December 20.
Srikakulam: Medical and Health Department officials in the district identified total 33 persons, all natives of Srikakulam district who returned from the United Kingdom (UK) between November 25 and December 20.
In the wake of the spread of the second wave of Covid in UK, the medical and health department officials began collecting details of UK returnees.
Out of total 33 returnees, 30 reached different places in Srikakulam district while two persons halted in Visakhapatnam and one in Hyderabad.
"We have conducted tests on all the 30 persons and all of them tested Covid negative," said District Surveillance Officer (DSO) to monitor Covid cases Dr Bagadi Jagannadha Rao speaking to The Hans India. He also said that information was passed on to the officials at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad about three other UK returnees.
