Srikakulam: The advocates across the district will abstain from duties from Monday protesting the State government's move to shift the High Court to Kurnool. In a press release on Sunday,
District Bar Association president Sistu Ramesh and general secretary G S K Prasad and State Bar Council member Gedela Vasudeva Rao said that all advocates from across the district were demanding to establish High Court in Visakhapatnam if it was shifted from Amaravati.
They strongly opposed the shifting of High Court to Kurnool. The advocates also demanded the government to make a clear announcement in this regard. They said that advocates from nine districts will abstain from court duties from Monday out of 13 districts for the same cause.
