Amaravati: minister for Urban Development and Municipal administration Botcha Satyanarayana questioned that did the state government take any adverse decision against media from the last 5 months of YSRCP rule, in a press conference at Secretariat on Friday.

He was reacting against the earlier comments of former CM and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on cabinet decision to empower all secretaries to lodge cases against media houses if they publish any adverse news on state government.

In fact, Naidu also demanded to revoke the previous GO 938, which was released during the then CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy regime.

Satyanarayana said that no court in the country denied tho lodger a complaint against media house if they publish false news with vested interests.

He further explained that the state government has been giving respect to all media houses and journalists. He blamed that Naidu himself indulged in anti-media activities when he was in government.
