Amaravati: The State government published a notification prescribing the jurisdictions to CBI Courts, on Monday, based on a letter from Registrar (Administration), High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

Gontu Manohar Reddy, Secretary, Law department released the orders through G.O.MS.No. 25.

The III Additional Special Judge for trial of CBI Cases which was shifted from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada will have Jurisdiction Over the Districts of West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and SPSR Nellore.

Also, the cases relating to Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam and East Godavari Districts will retain with the Courts of Principal Special Judge for trial of CBI Cases and I Additional Special Judge for trial of CBI Cases at Visakhapatnam, and the said Courts shall have jurisdiction over the four 4 Districts.

The Court of V Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-V Additional Metropolitan Magistrate at Vijayawada will try the cases other than the cases filed under Prevention of Corruption Act filed by or against the CBI.
