Amaravati: Interviews cancelled in APPSC recruitment
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has canceled the part of the interview in the recruitment procedure of the APPSC. This decision has taken on Thursday, during a review meeting with the APPSC officials, at his residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
Amaravati: The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has canceled the part of the interviews in the recruitment procedure of the APPSC. This decision has taken on Thursday, during a review meeting with the APPSC officials, at his residence at Tadepalli in Guntur district.
The APPSC has been conducting the interviews for the posts in Group 1 and other Gazetted officers exams. With this decision, there would be no interview for these exams also and the ranks will be decided based on the written exams only. Based on the merit list, the vacancies will be filled.
Jagan directed the APPSC to release notifications for the recruitment of various posts in January every year and follow the calendar. The recruitment calendar to be released on every year January 1.
The government also considering the possibility of taking help from IITs and IIMs in the recruitment of the vacancies in various departments. Chief Minister will also hold another review meeting with all concerned officials in the month of November, regarding the vacancies in all the departments. In this meeting, he will finalize the number of vacancies to be recruited in January 2020.
Hereafter, the APPSC will give the postings only based on the merit list in written exams. This decision has been taking to ensure transparency in the recruitment procedure, observed Chief Minister.
Before that, the officials informed with CM that whenever they release the results, the criticism erupting against the government and the Board. The officials also informed that the recruitment procedure is being delayed because of the legal procedure in courts.
