Andhra govt. to disburse pending Rabi Crop Insurance amount to farmers today
The government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is termed as the farmers government has given yet another good news to the farmers of the state.
The government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, which is termed as the farmer's government has given yet another good news to the farmers of the state. The government bhas decided to pay the pending insurance bills to the farmers. A total of Rs 596.36 crore will be deposited directly to the accounts of 5,94,005 farmers in 13 districts from the chief minister camp office on Friday.
The government has not paid a premium to insurers under the 2018 Rabi Crop Insurance during the previous regime. This resulted in the insurance companies to get into debt of Rs 596.36 crore to farmers wherein the farmers have not received insurance money since then.
YSRCP government alleged that the TDP government has not paid the 2018 Rabi crop insurance money to farmers. CM YS Jagan, who realised this through the review meeting has ordered the officials to pay the insurance premium to the farmers, which will benefit 5.94 lakh farmers.
