Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan accompanied by his wife Suprava Harichandan participated in voting, for the first time after assuming charge as Governor of the State, by casting vote in the Municipal Corporation elections on Wednesday at the Model Polling Station located in CVR GMC High School near Raj Bhavan.

Speaking to media after casting his vote, the Governor said the voting right is the most valuable right available to citizens whether it is general elections, municipal elections or panchayat elections and by exercising this right the citizens can choose the persons they like who can serve them better.

As the first citizen of the State it was his bounden duty to exercise the right to vote and he has exercised the same by casting his vote in corporation elections, the Governor said.
