Collector Kona Sasidhar said that the district administration has made all arrangements for counting of votes in the 17 Assembly constituencies and 3 Parliamentary constituencies on May 23.

Guntur: Collector Kona Sasidhar said that the district administration has made all arrangements for counting of votes in the 17 Assembly constituencies and 3 Parliamentary constituencies on May 23. Addressing a review meeting held at the Collectorate in the city on Tuesday, he said that Guntur Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies would come under the purview of Guntur Parliamentary constituency, Bapatla, Repalle and Vemur Assembly constituencies counting would be held at the Acharya Nagarjuna University counting centre.

He said similarly Narasaraopet Parliament constituency and Assembly constituencies would come under the purview of Narasaraopet Parliament constituency and votes counting will be held at Loyola Public School at Nallapadu in Guntur city.

He said they have already issued passes to counting agents and added that they will conduct randamisation and allot the staff for counting of votes. He said 14 tables were set up for every round and added training classes were already conducted for the counting staff and also set up media centres at the counting centres.

Later, Kona Sasidhar, GMC commissioner and Guntur East Assembly constituency returning officer Srikesh B Lathkar reviewed the arrangements for counting of votes at ANU Counting Centre. He gave suggestions to the staff and instructed them to complete the arrangements by May 22 morning. District revenue officer Sri Latha was also present.
