Badminton coaching camp launched
Badminton Summer Coaching Camp for Boys and Girls was inaugurated at DRMC Indoor stadium here on Thursday.
Vijayawada: Badminton Summer Coaching Camp for Boys and Girls was inaugurated at DRMC Indoor stadium here on Thursday. A Shekar, director of sports in-charge, VMC attended as the chief guest of the programme and inaugurated the coaching camp.
The coaching camp was jointly organised by the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation and Krishna District Badminton Association. Staff coach K Bhaskar said that about 72 interested children aged below 12 years had registered themselves for the coaching camp. About 10 coaches and senior players will guide them in the coaching from 9 am to 10:30 am.
Four badminton courts are arranged for the coaching and the coaching camp will conclude on May 31. KDBA secretary T Trimurthi, KDBA vice-president Lakshminayana, KDBA joint secretary P Srinivas, staff coach K Bhaskar and others were present.
