Bandh evokes good response in Guntur

Guntur: The educational institutions bandh call given by various students' unions evoked a good response in Guntur district on Thursday. Almost all the educational institutions including schools and colleges remained closed and extended support to bandh.
They observed bandh in response to a bandh call given by AISF and SFI to mount pressure on the State government to solve problems of the students and release fee reimbursement and scholarship dues immediately.
Addressing the gathering, AISF state president Mahamkali Subba Rao said that due to non-release of fee reimbursement, the college managements were refusing to give certificates to the students.
As a result, the students were not in a position to join in the higher education courses and facing problems and demanded to release free reimbursement and scholarships dues immediately.
District SFI secretary Manoj Kumar demanded that the State government pay mess charges dues and solve problems in the hostels immediately.
