Srikakulam: Banking services should be made easy to all sections of people in coming days and we are planning to reach people of all walks of life soon, said State Bank of India (SBI) Regional Manager (RM) Tejomay Aravind.

In a workshop held at SBI regional office here on Sunday, he said that SBI was going to form eight teams to collect ground level realties regarding banking services. "We are going to double the income of farmers by sanctioning loans to agriculture and allied sectors," the RM said. "It is high time to promote digital economy in our country to achieve this goal," he stated.

"We are going to encourage housing and construction fields, besides providing business and education loans particularly for professional courses by providing credit support," he pointed out. He said the bank will conduct a State level meeting on August 23-24 to chalk out an action plan. Bank officials attended the workshop.
