BJP-led NDA govt encouraging communal violence, alleges Yechury in Kadapa

Kadapa: CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has alleged that BJP-led NDA government was responsible for encouraging communal violence through introduction of CAA and NRC.

Addressing a public meeting in Kadapa organised by the Joint Action Committee in protest against CAA, NRC on Saturday, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah should take the responsibility for recent untoward incidents in New Delhi in the wake of introduction of CAA and NRC. He demanded that the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister should submit resignations as they lacked the moral right to continue in the posts.

He said the Muslim minorities were feeling insecured under the BJP rule. Yechury assured full support to the Muslims in their fight against NRC and CAA.

CPI General Secretary D Raja has alleged that the BJP was acting against the Gandian philosophy by suppressing the rights of Muslim minorities. He criticised Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for adopting double standards on CAA. He demanded that the Chief Minister provide clarity on the issue.

CPM district Secretary Anjaneyulu and others were present.
