Vijayawada: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu has said the present day youth who are the future citizens of the nation have the calibre to rewrite history and achieve their goals. The youth should think with creativity and work in a proper way to build new and innovative India, he said.

Addressing the students at IIIT Nuzvid here on Thursday, he said that India has 65 per cent of youth in its population which no other country has. He expressed his delight to see the future of Andhra Pradesh through the success of students.

He recalled that during his academic days, he strived hard to get educated and used to walk for a long distance to go to the school.

"If we are able to provide the basic amenities in villages, no one will migrate to the cities for education or for any other purpose," he said.

He praised the IIIT for providing high quality education to the students. He encouraged students to come up with solutions for new challenges and mentioned that one should never forget their mother tongue.

"You can aim high and dream high and for that, you have to work hard," he said. He urged the faculty to encourage students to bring out their creative ideas.
