Call to make May Day a success

Pedapadu: The extended meeting of the mandal CITU unit held here on Sunday, called upon the working class to make May Day celebrations a success in the district. The meeting presided over by Building Workers Union president M Gopi was attended by leaders of various people's organisations and farmer's bodies. They released a poster of May Day on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders emphasized on the unified fights to achieve their demands. They expressed their concern over the present state of unorganised workers in every field. They alleged that the rights achieved by workers through various struggles had been watered down by the rulers with their anti-worker and anti-farmer policies.
