Carnatic vocalist Malladi Suribabu felicitated
Artistes’ Association felicitated Malladi Suribabu on receipt of Central Sangeet Nataka Academy award for 2019 on Monday evening at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.
Vijayawada: Artistes' Association felicitated Malladi Suribabu on receipt of Central Sangeet Nataka Academy award for 2019 on Monday evening at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.
Malladi Suribabu is a Carnatic vocalist and musician from Vijayawada. He was conferred with Kala Ratna in 2013 and TTK Award by Madras Music Academy in 2014. He is the disciple of music legends Voleti Venkateshwarulu, Sripada Pinakipani and Nedunuri Krishnamurthy.
He joined All India Radio as programme announcer in 1971 and served for more than 35 years. While working in All India Radio, he had the opportunity to work with many legendary artistes like N Ch Krishnamacharyulu, Srirangam Gopalaratnam, Voleti Venkateswarulu, Ushasri and Indraganti Srikanta Sarma.
His programmes 'Bhakti Ranjani' and 'Sangeeta Sikshana' have become very popular during his service. P Panduranga Rao, Madugula Ramakrishna, Govindarajan, Modumudi Sudhakar participated in this felicitation programme.
