Chandrababu Naidu interacts with senior leaders, seeks their support for big win to Lokesh
TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu is focusing on Mangalagiri Assembly constituency, from where his son Lokesh is contesting as MLA.
Amaravati: TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu is focusing on Mangalagiri Assembly constituency, from where his son Lokesh is contesting as MLA. Since it is the first time for Lokesh in direct elections, Naidu is considering it as a challenge for the family to ensure comfortable victory for the party in Mangalagiri.
Naidu has been inviting important leaders of the constituency, interacting with them personally and directing the strategies needed to be implemented during the campaign. He interacted with former Mangalagiri MLA and Minister Murugudu Hanumantha Rao on Tuesday at Undavalli.
While asking Hanumantha Rao to work for a big victory for Lokesh, the TDP supremo promised that he will take care of the future of the former Minister. Both of them interacted for more than half-an-hour on various issues relating to the Mangalagiri Assembly constituency.
As the YSRCP fielded sitting MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy again from the constituency, Hanumantha Rao said that Lokesh's winning chances are bright in the constituency.
Ramakrishna Reddy won just by a margin of 12 votes during the 2014 elections. Though a direct election is new to Lokesh, he has been showing remarkable leadership qualities in campaign, pointed out Hanumantha Rao during his interaction with Naidu.
Along with Hanumantha Rao, Chandrababu Naidu also interacted with local leaders including D Manoj Kumar and others. Meanwhile, former MP Sabbam Hari met Chandrababu Naidu at Undavalli on Tuesday before the latter left for election campaign to Kurnool.
Hari, who recently joined the TDP, has got ticket to contest from Bhimili Assembly constituency in Visakhapatnam district. He promised Chandrababu Naidu that he would work for winning of other leaders in North Andhra region.
Sabbam Hari is one of the popular leaders in North Andhra and his political experience will help the ruling party. He reportedly discussed the strategy to be adopted and the latest political developments in the region with Naidu after both TDP and the Opposition party YSRCP had released final lists of contesting candidates.
On the other hand, the candidates who got tickets from the party also visited Undavalli and thanked Chandrababu Naidu. Narasaraopet Assembly candidate Chadalavada Aravinda Babu, Kanigiri candidate Ugra Narasimha Reddy, Itabathula Anandababu of Amalapuram and others met Naidu.
The TDP supremo assured that he will provide MLC post to former Minister Gade Venkata Reddy and Vegnesha Foundation chairman V Narendra Varma. Both of them said that they would work hard to ensure party's victory in Narasaraopet Lok Sabha constituency.
