Chittoor: PD Act mooted against sand, ID liquor smugglers
Chittoor: Y Rishanth Reddy, ASP, Special Enforcement Bureau stated that the Preventive Detention Act will be applied against the sand smugglers and ID liquor manufacturers as per the instructions of the government.

The ASP said that SP S Senthil Kumar had given strict directions to take stringent action against those who indulge in illegal transportation of sand and illicit liquor.
Speaking to media men here at Police Guest House, he explained the salient features of the Special Enforcement Bureau for curbing the anti-social elements indulging in the sand and IFD arrack. The Government has allotted a phone No.9440900004 to make complaints on the issues.
It is the need of the hour that the public should avail the opportunity and inform to the police through the phone over the illegal activities relating to sand and arrack, he added.
He said raids will be conducted by SEB on the anti-social elements. D N Mehash, ASP, Administration, Excise Assistant Commissioner H Nagaraju and others were present.
