Guntur: Director of Municipal Administration K Kanna Babu on Friday said that students of municipal schools fared well in the SSC Public Examinations in the State. In a statement, he said about 90.36 per cent of students from municipal schools passed in the state.

He said this is 4.05 per cent more compared to last three years and students of 47 schools reported cent per cent pass. He informed that 403 students got 10 GPA compared to 302 students in last year. He said in the schools where the advanced foundation course conducted, the pass percentage was more.

He said during 2018-19 academic year, students in 141 schools achieved 10 GPA and 4,851 students got 9 GPA. He said 18,880 students secured A1 Grade. He said in Telugu 4,018 students, in Hindi 2,306 students, in English 4,896 students, 2,803 students in Maths, 1,316 students in Science and 3,536 students in Social studies got A 1 grade in the SSC Public Examinations.
