Nellore: Andhra Pradesh Press Academy Chairman D Srinath Reddy informed that they have been trying to develop professionalism among journalists in the state. He visited the city on Wednesday and interacted with the media.

Srinath Reddy said that they had conducted online classes in all 13 districts for journalists in the state. "Press Academy had an MoU with Vikrama Simhapuri University and Yogi Vemana University for providing PG Diploma in Journalism course with the concession to scribes working in various sections of media. Journalists have to utilise the opportunity," said Srinath Reddy.

The Academy has been taking up such initiatives to improve quality and values in journalism, he added. He informed that they had made available 12 books which are useful for journalists in the Academy. He announced that they had developed a website for the benefit of journalists in the state.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to launch the website very shortly, he added. The website consists of useful information.
