Despite Coronavirus outbreak on the one hand and economic crisis, on the other hand, is taking the toll on the state, the Andhra Pradesh government led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not backing down on implementing welfare schemes for the poor. In this backdrop, Jagananna Chedodu scheme will be launched online at the Tadepalli Camp office in the auspices of CM Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.

Under this scheme, shopkeepers, Nayi Brahmins and tailors will get Rs. 10,000 each. The amount will be deposited directly into their bank accounts. In the first phase, 2,47,040 beneficiaries will be provided financial assistance among which 1,25,926 tailors, 82,347 laundry men and 38,767 Nayi Brahmins. As many as Rs. 247 crore would be credited to the beneficiaries bank accounts at Rs 10,000 each.
