Dy CM Amzath Basha presents Abdul Kalam Awards
Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha presented Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s National Eminence Awards- 2019 to people from various fields for their contribution to society.
Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha presented Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's National Eminence Awards- 2019 to people from various fields for their contribution to society. The award presentation ceremony was organised jointly by Global Creative Arts Academy Inc, USA, Philanthropic Society of India and Dreams NGO.
Speaking on the occasion, Amzath Basha said that Dr Abdul Kalam was a great leader and his services to the country were unforgettable. He appreciated Philanthropic Society of India founder Addanki Raja for announcing awards to people in the name of Dr Abdul Kalam.
He said that everyone should strive to bring change in society. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had brought many reforms to benefit the poor and the needy people in the state and gave 50 percent nominated works to women.
Women Commission chairperson Vasireddy Padma said that Dr Abdul Kalam led a simple life though he was the President of India. She said that the chief minister would fulfill the dreams of Dr Kalam and he was committed to social justice for the people in the state.
As many as five lifetime achievement awards and 28 awards were presented to various people for their contribution and service to society on the occasion.
